Jessica Landon: Laughter, Gratitude & Connection in Women’s Recovery

Watch the podcast, above, or listen below.

Jessica Landon was a successful Hollywood actress living a charmed & glamorous life, but it all fell apart when she spiraled into full-blown alcoholism at age 26 which led to jail, then living on the streets, weighing just 78 pounds. She lost it all, but somehow, after 9 trips to rehab, she found the will to leave alcohol behind and build a life she didn't need to escape from.

She now lives in Los Angeles with her fiancee and beautiful baby boy, and is an advocate and coach for moms in recovery.

Jess shares her powerful story with raw honesty, including the role that laughter, gratitude, and connection played in her own recovery.

Jessica and I discuss gray-area drinking, the sober curious movement, mommy wine culture, and the critical importance of community and connection for women when it comes to healing and recovery.

Rachel Sumner: Women and the Future of Work

Watch the episode, above, or listen, below!

Rachel Sumner is an Executive Coach, Mentor & Education Specialist who supports young people and their families as they make important decisions about life after High School.

As a mother of three, she is acutely aware of the need for better education about the Future of Work so that our children not only survive but thrive in the decades ahead. If you’re a working woman, and/or you’ve got children, you won’t want to miss this fascinating discussion!

Many of the “soft” skills that women typically possess more than men, such as empathy, caring, creativity, and collaboration, cannot be replicated by robots. These skills will therefore be in higher demand as automated workplaces become the norm.

Rachel and I also discuss the connection between burnout and these skills, which women will be increasingly called upon to use on the job as well as at home in the future. We also discuss how we...

Annie Grace - Alcohol and Women's Burnout

Watch the episode, above, or listen, below!

This is a big deal, everyone! I quite literally had to talk myself into even inviting Annie to be on my podcast.

If you don't know much about Annie Grace, she's HUGE. I mean HUGE HUGE. She's a big deal and she's the real deal. She also, quite literally, changed my life.

I wanted to interview her SO badly, but I found myself struggling with my own limiting beliefs and fears. After a little "self-coaching", I leaned into them, wrote her a long email explaining why she was my #1 dream guest, edited it about 1000 times, took a deep breath, and hit "send" (and then felt slightly nauseous for the rest of the weekend). But she said YES!  (I'm sharing this story to remind you that I'm human, just like you, and that sometimes you just need to feel the fear and do it anyway to get what you want in life.)

In this episode, I interview my mentor Annie Grace, the author of This Naked Mind: Control...
