Are you a lawyer who's worried about your drinking?Â
I help busy people manage stress and drink less.
While many of my clients are lawyers, I also support other high-achieving professionals navigating stress and burnout who are working on changing their relationship with alcohol.
Hey there, I'm Wendy.
I’m a “recovered lawyer” turned Certified Coach & Wellness Expert, with 15+ years of experience supporting busy professionals.
Sixteen years ago, on paper, I had it all:
- Partnership at a big law firm,
- a great marriage,
- two cute kids,
- a house I loved,
- and the token fully-loaded minivan parked outside.
But I also had a secret: I was burnt out and unhappy, and I was using wine more & more to escape.
I knew something was missing but I had no idea what.
I wanted to drink less but I worried life would be no fun and too stressful without it.
Any of this sound familiar?
- You're a smart, successful person who, on paper, has got it all.
- Alcohol feels like an essential part of doing business as an attorney. It's everywhere.
- But... what used to be one glass at the end of the day is now two or three.
- And you make rules for yourself like "I'll only drink on the weekends" or I'll just have one", only to break them.
- And that's got you stuck in a cycle of regret and guilt.
- It feels like alcohol is taking more than it's giving.
- You want to change your relationship with alcohol, but you also can't imagine life without it.
- While you're pretty sure you're not an "alcoholic", it's proving harder than you thought to drink less.
- The fact that you can't get this under control is driving you nuts.
IF THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT, THEN KEEP ON READING
You know things need to change...
you're done with feeling tired and worn out
you're sick of making rules & breaking them
you're SO tired of thinking about drinking
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.
Imagine how it would feel to...
Only want to drink when (and if!) it serves you.
Control alcohol by making it small and irrelevant.

Learn how to do this in a private, discreet, and supported way
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’ve already tried to change your drinking on your own.Â
Maybe more than once.
And if you’re being honest, you know this isn’t really about alcohol alone.
It’s about stress.
Pressure.
Responsibility.
Burnout.
The weight of being the one who holds it all together — at work and at home.
This is where my coaching comes in.
When you work with me, you get a completely confidential, judgment-free space to talk honestly about what’s really going on — without labels, ultimatums, or someone telling you what you should do.
There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline here.
We take the time you need.
Some clients want to drink less.
Some want to stop altogether.
Many don’t know yet — and that’s not a problem.
You do not have to decide that you’re “done forever” in order to work with me.
What you do need is a sense that the way things are right now isn’t good enough — and that doing this alone hasn’t worked.
My Coaching is High-Touch, Private, and Built for Busy Professionals.
My clients are lawyers and other high-achieving professionals who value:
-
Extreme discretion and confidentiality
-
Thoughtful, intelligent conversation
-
Support that adapts to real life (not rigid programs)
-
Accountability that’s steady, not shaming
Our work together is:
-
Private and one-on-one
-
Flexible and responsive to what’s happening in your life and career
-
Focused on root causes, not just surface behaviors
-
Designed to support you for as long as it takes to create real, lasting change
Once we decide to make changes, I’ll help you stay accountable — gently, consistently, and realistically — without adding more pressure to an already full plate.
Why Lawyers (and Other High Performers) Choose to Work With Me
I understand this world — because I lived in it.
Before becoming a coach, I practiced law for over a decade. I know the culture.
I know the expectations.
I know how normalized drinking can become — and how invisible the line is when it starts to move.
Today, with 15+ years of experience coaching busy professionals, I also know this:
Alcohol is rarely the problem.
It’s usually a coping strategy layered on top of:
-
Chronic stress
-
Career dissatisfaction or burnout
-
Relationship strain
-
Loss of meaning or misalignment with values
-
A nervous system that never gets to stand down
My work draws on deep life coaching expertise, not just alcohol-focused tools.
That means we can — and do — talk about your career, your relationships, your energy, your values, and the bigger picture of the life you actually want to be living.

STILL HERE?
Good, because there's something I need to tell you.
The legal profession is where my drinking career began in earnest.
It might feel like you're alone in this but you're not.
Over 80% of North Americans drink and about 70% of them wish they drank less...
and studies show that lawyers drink far more than other professionals.
There's a way to approach your drinking that's kindness and curiosity-based, and you don't need to commit to "never drinking again."
Instead, with my help, you can "quit trying to quit", get out of the cycle of shame and guilt, and start digging into the reasons you drink in the first place.
Together, we'll build a healthy coping toolkit, and take practical, manageable steps towards reducing stress, preventing burnout, and creating a better balance overall.
I know you're worried you won't be able to do this.
But, instead of focussing on what could go wrong, I want you to ask yourself:
"what if it goes right?"
What if this is the first step towards your most balanced & fulfilling life?
